Another in a long line of compilation worship albums. The main selling point for 'Worship Extra' is that the songs on the album are all recorded by original artists, which is probably supposed to imply that you get to hear the song the way it was "meant" to be sung. However since most songs are done differently in different churches I am not sure how much pulling power that will actually bring to the album. The songs themselves are a reasonable mix from the last 12 years, from worship leaders such as Tim Hughes, Matt Redman and Robin Mark. As long as you enjoy modern worship songs you will find something to like here, though you will probably have to skip through quite a few songs to get to them, which is always a problem on albums with this many songs. In these days of downloading just the tracks you want from online music providers, rather arbitrary compilations like this one may have had their day.
