A thoroughly engaging album from a new name on the scene, Californian Wayne has an eclectic style which straddles infectious R&B grooves (i particularly liked the undulating "The Power" and on the ballads 50's doowop sounds! The funksters in the parish may want to skip his slowies though there's a hint of Babyface in the lilting "You Were There". With exposure in the clubs/pirate radio this set could be massive. Search it out and support another grassroots talent taking the Good News onto the streets.
