I went to the Church that 100% Proof were based at, and followed them round for many of their gigs. They were really good, the second half of the gig was where it always seemed to get better, as by then it had usually gone dark and that improved the atmosphere. I remember going to the Battle Of The Bands in London in a coach full of fans from the Church. I was at Greenbelt in the 1980's and they were fabulous on the main stage, l think they were more popular than Cliff. The records were good but you needed to see them live. The first time l saw them was at Peel Moat School....l recorded the gig on cassette tape and still have it somewhere.
