I heard Danny Taylor play at a church I once attended (Love Christian Assembly-Love Church, Centereach NY) twice around 1978. I loved his music and have often wondered what happen to him. I would love to know if anyone knows his whereabouts.

I was just entertaining my 12 year old with "Hey, Hey, Mon" from Danny Taylor Live and she was intrigued by this and wondered if we could find Danny Taylr on line. I still have the old album, but no way to play it. I wondered if CDs were available anywhere. It was awesomw music and meant a lot to me as a new Christian in the late 70s.

Hi Richard! My Christian Music Library will never be complete until I acquire as much of Danny Taylor's Jesus music as I can. The one album I once owned was lost somewhere during my travels. Can you please help me brother in Christ Jesus? Thanks in advance.

I was a big fan of Danny's music in the 70's. Had just about everything he recorded. Still have "I'm not a one man show" double album.
I saw him sing in Louisiana many times and was blown away how well he communicated his message, just him on stage or in a coffee house. I also spent an afternoon with him discussing music and getting advice from him. He was very gracious. Would like to know what became of him and if he still goes down to New Orleans to minister on the street at Mardi Gras.

I heard Danny Taylor live in the early 80's in Houston. The Christian radio station there, KSBJ, was helping to do a remake of his hits. I was at the "live concert" for the remake, but Danny's heart didn't seem into it. I loved his music, and would love to find copies of his albums. I don't believe that KSBJ ever did finish remaking his album.

Yes, I love this album and I would be interested to know what happened to him. Did he do anything after '78?

I have a vinyl copy, and also a remastered to CD copy of this, Danny was a personal friend, we were to take those albums and remaster them with the newer software available at the time of his death.

This is a great album, Danny does a wonderful job of singing and preaching, and the show was lively and funny. If you like rag time jazz, with a strong christian message, then do your best to get a copy of this! It won't take long to fall in love with the whole production.

Do you have any Danny Taylor mp3's you can send me for a classic Jesus music radio show that I write copy for?

The opinions expressed in the Reader Comments are not necessarily those held by Cross Rhythms.

I was at this concert back in KC along with Mike & Kathy Deasy. It was a great concert! For some reason I never bought the double album and now wished I had. This is the only album of his that I am missing. If anybody has it, I would love to borrow it and convert it to MP3 format for them. I have been going thru all my old Jesus Music from the 70s and converting them - a lot of great memories!!! Feel free to respond if you have Danny's double album or even any others.
Thanks, Tom

I have the album "Danny Taylor - Live: I'm Not A One Man Show" on vinyl, and am converting into mp3s as well. If you are looking for the album yourself, you can find it for about $12.00 at: http://www.nifty-music.com/niftymusic/default.asp. Just type in Danny Taylor and it will take you right to it. Now, if I could just find the others!
