"Picking Up Pebbles", written by Johnny Curtis, recorded by Johnny Curtis 1968, released on Major Minor (UK). Published in Nashville by Milene Music, Nashville, US copyright 1967. Also by Matthew Flinders (1969, big hit in Australia) and by Cornelia (1968, big hit in South Africa. Also by Pat Boone, 1970.

1st verse and chorus:

Look at the kids on the sandy shore
Watching the tide come in
I used to do the same sweet thing
What pleasures it did bring

Picking up pebbles and throwing them into the sea
Watching the white surf carrying them on back to me
But now it's all over I've grown up it don't seem the same
The things in my childhood I know were all just a game

Hope you can answer yes or no! Thanks.
