In CR's review of 'Goeachead', the debut CD by Alias, our reviewer suggested the team were the 'Most Improved Band Of The Year'. We gave the band's leader Tim Simpkins the 40 question grilling.

"Not a film boffin so no interest!"

"On the back of a lorry at Southmead Community Festival in the middle of a park. It doesn't sound bizarre but it was. You had to be there!"

'Only when they get in the way!"

"Neither."

"Is there any difference?"

21. Briefly, how did you form the band?
"We played instruments together as children in our local church at the age of nine!"

22. Who's in the band?
"Tim Simpkins - lead vocals and guitar; Jodie Fischer - keyboards, vocals and accessories; Steve Cains - drums; Dodger - bass."

23. What day jobs do the band have?
'Tim - primary school teacher; Jodie - plays snooker; Steve - enters table tennis tournaments; Dodger - lumberjack."

"Friendly, committed, caring."

"Lively, energetic, thoughtful, soulful and compatible."
