Once you have finished trying to get your tongue around the title of this album, a quick delve into its contents will soon tell you that the band have certainly pulled their socks up since their last release. To put things in perspective I searched out their previous mini album and the difference between the two is not dissimilar to the difference between a weak tea and a double espresso! Alright, so it's not exactly a sparkling mirror of perfection, but I found the mixture of grungy guitars and folk music influences on 'Goeachead' a refreshing change from some of the samey sounds that you get from a lot of bands. Having said all this, there are a few odd things that let it down a bit. The distorted vocals on "Bon Voyage" are a little OTT - it works very well on "Vibe" but there is less of it on that track. On "Vibe" the car alarm-like sound half way through spoils an otherwise good song. Overall though, a good effort. My rating reflects the fact that not only have they made a good album, but that they have shown a definite attempt to produce something that doesn't just follow the crowd. They also win my vote for Most Improved Band of the Year! (PS: Check out the extra track at the end. Strange...but I like it!)

I've been listening to these songs on myspace and this band is seriously underated! Totally agree with Tim that this still sounds really fresh. Why don't the good bands get signed? Does anyone know where I can get hold of this CD please?
