Pop Group BarlowGirl joins record label Fervent

NEW AMERICAN girl group BarlowGirl have signed to the Nashville label Fervent. The phrase "Barlow Girl" was first popularized by a song by Superchic[k] who in turn had been inspired by some girls they had met at a festival who had taken up a strong stance on purity and modesty. The "Barlow Girls" phenomenon has even inspired a website (www.barlowgirl.net) for girls who pursue sexual purity. BarlowGirl's Fervent debut will be released in the US in February, 2004. CR
