Nia is appointed honorary vice president of Operation Christmas Child

WELSH POP gospel singer Nia has been appointed honorary vice president of Operation Christmas Child. The charity is a project of the organization Samaritan's Purse, which sends presents to children in need al over the world. Nia, who combines her touring with working at schools, says: "I commend and support the work of OCC."

David Applin, Director of Samaritan's Purse, says he is excited about Nia's commitment to OCC. "Her music has a way of reaching straight to the hearts of all who hear her and we hope that her input will mean that even more people around Britain will have the opportunity of sharing in the joy of Operation Christmas Child." CR
