AMERICAN CCM artist Aaron Benward of Aaron Jeoffrey came face-to-face with notorious shock rocker Marilyn Manson on America's MTV. Aaron was one of a select group of guests asking Marilyn about his life and his music on a live programme in September. Aaron represented the Christian music community.

Aaron asked Marilyn a brief question, but this was somewhat disrupted by Marilyn's pre-occupation with his only knowledge of Christian music - Stryper. After the live taping, they continued to tape an extra 30-45 minutes, during which time it seemed that Marilyn "connected" with Aaron more than any other audience member (which was understandable because the producer seated Aaron directly in front of Marilyn!) After the show, Aaron gave him a copy of Aaron Jeoffrey's 'The Climb' and asked him to be open enough to listen to it. Marilyn was very respectful toward Aaron and asked him a little more about the record. It was appropriate that Aaron, whose career has been built around his strong relationship with his father, should give the CD to Marilyn, whose bad relationship with his father played a huge role in who he has become. CR
