When I first listened to this album it reminded me of Richie Havens but with more groove. Then again, on one or two tracks Aaron sounds a lot like Russ Taff. The music is largely piano based rock with a distinctive American feel. This is not to say that the other instruments don't get a look in, such as the delicious Hammond organ on "There's Always Room". I began to wish that some parts were more up front in the mix as there are so many good parts that are hidden away. Several of the tracks seemed to cry out for soprano and alto saxes and a melodic fretless bass part. The music is not challenging but rather pleasant. It is unlikely to upset the Ladies League. The words are definitely a cut above your average Christian rock offering. I particularly like "He Is" which deals with the way in which God's characteristics are described in each book of the Bible (all be it in shortform). This is music to play in the background and let your heart and soul dip into.

I heard this awesome song entitled "Promise ME" on ccm
radio. I thought Aaron Jeoffrey was a single person's name
(fooled me). This father and son team belt out some great
tunes for this cd; Jeoffrey (the dad) had recorded a solo
project in 1985 (that I have). In March of 1995 when cd was
released for sale, I immediately bought it! "One Million
Reasons" was another favorite; also heard on ccm airwaves.
The song has that nice pop ccm quality. What a great
rendition of Dottie Rambo's '77 song "I go to the Rock"
which features DC talk. I really like the song"There's
Always Room". The last song on the cd puts it all into
perspective "HE Is" what a fresh new, original song;
mentions EVERY book of the Bible!!; there is a lot of truth
put into this 7 minute cd closer!
I believe the above writer has Jeoffrey's & Aaron's vocals
mixed up. Listen to Jeoffrey's solo album from 1985, he
sounds a lot like Russ Taff; Aaron's (the son) solo from
2000 "Imagine", definitely has his own distinct vocal sound.
I also have the duo's 2 follow up recordings. GOD Bless!
