'Precious Memories Vol II' another hit for country star Alan Jackson

MAINSTREAM country star Alan Jackson is currently enjoying a success with his album of classic hymns, 'Precious Memories Vol II' which contains Jackson's versions of "Amazing Grace", "Just As I Am" and "Love Lifted Me". The singer was genuinely surprised at the success of 'Precious Memories', his first ever gospel album, in part, he says, because he recorded it as a Christmas gift for his mother. Said Jackson, "I had so many compliments from fans and even people who aren't really country fans. It just overwhelmed me. People have told me - all over this country and even other parts of the world - how much they loved that album. It's not just people older than me. I've seen young kids at my shows who have on the t-shirt that had the cover of that gospel album on it."
