Aaron Shust's "My Saviour My God" clocks up 500,000 sales.

AMERICAN mainstream label Brash Music has announced that more than 500,000 people have purchased the song "My Saviour My God" by Aaron Shust either in physical or digital format. The song helped garner Shust three Dove Awards including Song Of The Year, Songwriter Of The Year and New Artist Of The Year. Additionally, "My Saviour My God" was the number one Christian radio hit in the US for 2006.  CR

what does this mean in the age of decline of general music sales?
Christians are perhaps the last remaining audience that PAYS for it's music?
Christians now make the most popular music?
Christian music has reached new heights of artistic merit?
It's great news. With volumes like this, worship can become a proper commercial business with a marketing department to optimise performance. Jesus would be turning tables with glee.
I was in Abbey Road, they are in decline and said that Christian music is keeping them going. Perhaps this means that in the end there's only one thing worth singing about. That would be good news.
