Southern gospel hitmakers The Hinsons showcased on compilation.

NEW HAVEN Records are continuing their Gospel Legacy series which has already re-issued compilations by Rusty Goodman, JD Sumner And The Stamps and Vestal Goodman, with an album by '70s Southern gospel favourites The Hinsons. The Hinsons started in 1969 when three brothers, Ronny, Kenny and Larry and sister Yvonne began the group in Salinis, California.  CR

We are really big fans of the Hinsons and my bro in law just heard the original Hinsons singing "flying higher than I've ever been" on the radio and I think that song is actually by Dottie Rambo but I was just wondering if there was ever a cd made with them singing that song. If anyone knows will you please tell me the name of the cd. Thanks!

I would like to know if anyone has any pictures or videos of The Hinsons, from May through August of 1984. My name is Billy Ray Brown, and I sang with them during that time frame, and I don't have ANY pictures or videos of that wonderful adventure. Thank you :)

I was so in love with you Billy Ray Brown!
I was only 14 years old at that time! You came to Orange Hill Baptist Church in Austell, Ga. I think my mom does have pictures of us from that night! I know we took pictures with you...I will check. Where can I mail them or post them?

I grew up listening to the Hinsons. Do you know where I would be able to get some of their music?

The only people to every sing with the Hinsons was a man by the name of Billy Ray(he sang about four months) he sang between Eric and Bo. And Chris(Hawkins) Freeman. The Hinsons don't sing together much. They each have their own ministries.

In 1976?? I won a ticket from the radio to The Hinsons concert in Burnswick Ga.. I enjoyed the concert and also bought an album. You all were dressed in White & black I think the album cover had a Res Rose on it. My favorite songs on the album were Follow Your Heart & Look to Him. My mother which has passed away over 20 years ago heard the song, loved it so much we sang it at a church function.
I am from a large family(15) and we also used to sing as a family group. Through the years I lost the album and have been trying to find it all over but no luck. If you have information , where I can purchase that particular album,CD please email me back with this information. Thank You in advance,
Larkie Brownlee-Bates
