Rockers Zao call it a day after seven years

WEST Virginian hard rock band, Zao are calling it a day after seven years. Jesse Smith, drummer and only original member of the group that has had 13 different members down the years, said, "I think the only thing that would have kept Zao together at all would be if we had gotten a major label offer that we could all sit back and analyse." The band will break up after they have toured their final Solid State release 'A Parade Of Chaos'. Solid State will release a 'Best Of Zao' album in 2003 and a re-recording of the band's first LP 'All Else Failed' in January. CR
