This mainstream-released single sees 350 youngsters from in and around Liverpool uniting in song against the gun, gang and knife crime that currently grips their neighbourhoods. Their vehicle is a stirring cover of Australian pop star John Farnham's 1986 hit. Used as a catalyst to launch the wider Voice In The City programme, this single also features Liam Moore - a Christian performer who appeared as Phil Collins on the ITV hit show Stars In Their Eyes - and is part of a grassroots project that has engaged over 6000 school pupils across the city. Musically, this is a competent piece of work with Moore's obvious vocal talents on display to the backdrop of a multitude of young folk passionately giving it all they've got. Things get a bit cluttered near the end but it's the message that counts.
