The Franco/Caribbean husband and wife duo here offer a CD single which turns out to be a setting of 17th century words by Thomas Pestel, with Alain and Jo providing the music. They've crafted a simple yet moving Yulelide piece, with a stripped down arrangement of acoustic and Spanish guitars, bass and synth strings. Jo's lead vocal is expressive and strong, and the whole thing is something I wouldn't hesitate to select for inspirational radio. Definitely scores nil on the Christmas Cringe-ometer.
