After two albums for Essential Records and the contract-completing 'Smash Hits' best of package, ASU are about to unleash a new album and while fans salivate waiting for that, here's something to keep everyone happy, A five-track independently released EP of All Star rarities and songs that aren't destined for the next album, 'Let's Get Crazy' opens up with a full on rocking title cut with all of ASU's Britpop influences flying high. "Satellite" jangles along in usual jaunty All Star fashion whilst "Big Mistake" ties together a huge beat with the usual layers of outrageously brilliant guitars and one of those singalong choruses that have established All Star United across the globe as one of the great pop outfits. The acoustic love song "Fall On Me" finds God speaking to us and inviting us to get closer whilst the closing "Song For The Broken Hearted" is simple encouragement not to give up. Listening to this makes me realise it's been too long since ASU gave us new material and though these songs are good, I'm betting the promised new album is going to be a killer.
