It's obvious in playing this that Brenda Geneau is a talented Canadian lady who has a genuine love for the Lord. There is a warmth generated about this album of self-penned scripture songs, but herein lies its weakness. It's alright to do new material but having played this album several times and enjoyed it, I honestly think it's a bit too samey. It's all very tastefully done in a modern country style, but Brenda's voice is not distinctive enough to make this album distinguishable from many others. Maybe in future she would do better to include one or two stronger songs, even if she didn't write them.
