Australia seems to have more than its fair share of rock bands making custom albums and there's a growing scene of live acts pushing back the frontier of Christian music at grass roots level. Three piece rock outfit Brotherhood Lush have produced a six-track EP with a few rock grooves. Whether it's the straight forward rock sound of the opener "Consistantly" or the more funky sound of the fun track "Seasick", Brotherhood Lush create a strong sound that will appeal to rock lovers searching for something a little different. A promising start which is then spoilt by "Gave Way" and "Mesmerized" which are weaker, slower songs complete with erm... how shall we describe it? Dated sound and warbly vocals! Shame really! Things pick up a bit with "Pain Generation" although the song meanders around without ever really exploding. Proceedings conclude with the acoustic "Light Shine" and that's it! Better on the up tempo stuff, promising the possibility of something better down the line. Patchy!
