This grassroots band from Lancing, West Sussex have been turning out low budget CDs for quite a while now and this 2005 five-song EP is long overdue a review. The songs themselves are worship-orientated and simple declarations of faith though sometimes the simplicity descends into cliché ("I am yours and you are mine/You're with me all the time"). Even more worryingly is that Steve Brunton's voice is thin and unconvincing while even the decision to draft in five lasses as "special guest vocalists" backfires as they too sound unsuitable for the cruel exposure of a CD release. Brunton's other vocalist Charlene McAuley is easily the best singer on the EP so consequently the song featuring her, "All I Want To Do", is by some way the most enjoyable.

Here's an Idea to the critic, lets see if he or she can bring out a cd that is dedicated to raise funds for a charitable reasons. Granted Steve Brunton may not be the best singer in the world but at least he is out there right now singing about God and worshipping him in his way. I am in agreement with the special guest vocalists but remember they themselves are quite young. I recommend you listen to it again and release a cd yourself before writing some distructive review about a cd which you may or may not of heard yourself!

Now that I have read the review (on the Cross Rhythms site) of Living For Another Life - with a rating of 5 out of ten - I cannot understand how Grace only gets 4 out of 10.

Either there is no consistent standard of scoring on Cross Rhythms or someone does not like this band for some reason.

A very destructive review, particularly from a Christian organisation.
The response to the tracks from this CD on the all-embracing NumberOneMusic have shown them to be much preferred to the majority of secular music available on that site. Regularly appearing in the top 500 tracks on a site offering nearly 10,000 tracks is no mean feat
Having now heard the earlier Brunton work, I find this one to be far superior to any of their earlier stuff.
