Depending on where you stand 'Love Snuck Up' features Emmylou Harris' guitarist Buddy Miller and his singer wife or it features former CCM singer Julie Miller with her guitarist husband. Broadly this can be classed as Americana, that hybrid of country, blues, gospel and rock'n'roll which allows its exponents such a broad music palette with which to paint. Both Buddy and Julie have had their fair share of solo releases but this compilation draws together duets they've recorded in the period 1995-2002 and includes five tracks from their 'Buddy And Julie Miller' album. There's also an alternative version of "You Make My Heart Beat Too Fast" with some electrifying guitar play from Buddy. From the Pops Staples song "It's Been A Change" to a cover of Dylan's "Wallflowers" and the atmospheric Millers' co-write "Dirty Water", this is a superb collection of 14 unmissable songs. Fans of Julie Miller's older stuff will enjoy more of her distinctive vocals and it's again testimony to the couple's musical gifts that they continue to record top notch material, all in their living room Dogtown studio!
