Soaring synths, solid drumming and energetic, texturally detailed worship songs are what you can expect on the new Canyon Hills Worship album. The seven-track, half-studio and half-live album from the Seattle, Washington-based worship team is a solid step up from their 2017 release 'Victory (Live)' while being maybe too similar to 'As Long As I Live Vol 1'. 'As Long As I Live' offers catchy, glistening choruses on songs like "Freedom - Live" and "Immortal, Invisible - Live". Overall the lyrics are very uplifting as on "At Your Name" where the aggregation sing "At your name every chain will break/Hearts will change/At your name all condemned are free/We believe." The best cuts are "Freedom - Live", "At Your Name - Live" and "Over All" with good, strong keyboard/guitar interplay and writing. Canyon Hills Worship are at their best writing energetic and slightly bouncy music, though few would claim they're quite up there with the best American, British or Australian worship teams.
