Iknow little or nothing about Cecil Jay other than that he once sang in a pretty well known boy band. What I can report is that this British-based soul gospel man has a marvellously soulful voice and on tracks like "Holy Is The Lamb" and "Heart And Soul" demonstrates the kind of relaxed, deeply emotional soul singing which would show up the vast majority of X Factor entrants regardless of how much auto-tuning they use. Recorded at Pelican Studios, Buckinghamshire, 'From There To Here' suffers a little from too many slow and mid-tempo songs but with such fine vocal talent on offer the listener is happy to overlook the occasional predictability of a budget line production. Definitely one of the best British gospel albums of the year.

Good to know that this brother is back on the Christian Music scene. This is long overdue. I have purchased some of the songs from I-tunes as I cannot afford the whole album right now. My favorite song is Bless his name! Looking forward to more work from this guy.

I first heard of Ceil Jay Roberts when I was invited to a musical concert he was performing at. My first impressions was his silky voice...I was so impressed my his performance that I investsed in his album. I have become such a great fan that I follow his every move I 've signed up on Facebook and myspace etc. I ggogled him and saw your review so i decided to write something. To begin to say how this album has helped me is an understatement. My favourite is love man vrs me man. I have been struggling with selfishness all my life and it even caused the breakdown of my marriage. I haven't yet seen any upcoming concerts or festivals but if one does come up I will surely be in the VIP section. God bless you Cecil

Wow! I know this brother from Ghana. He used to be the lead singer of Ghana's most popular Christian group Black Heritage. I have been looking tohear something from him but to no avail until a friend told me that he has released album. I will go and buy it so glad you are back brother.
