Whilst Avalon may be one of the most popular Christian groups in America, their brand of bright polished pop hasn't always translated well this side of the pond. Original member Cherie Adams was the first to jump ship (with the recent departure of Jody McBrayer, only one original member remains in the group) and this is a solo album in a similar vein to Cherie's former group. It features big vocals, pop melodies but leans far too heavily towards the huge ballads so that there isn't really enough variety here to sustain the album. "The Other Woman" has a seasoning of soul which works nicely whilst the title track is probably the best of the ballads and the medium paced "Something About The Rain" is pleasant enough. However nothing on here comes close to the quality of work produced by Avalon. So overall, this solo outing is a little disappointing.

How and where can I purchase Cherie's new CD album?

Visit the store on Cherie's website via this link - http://cherieadams.com/store.htm

In case you're wondering, the sole survivor of the first Avalon lineup is Greg Long's other half Janna (nee Potter).
