Considering how crassly the word chillout has been overused by opportunist record labels so that today half the albums bearing the name have nothing to do with the original laid back electronic music of its origins, I was pleasantly surprised by this. British keyboard man/programmer Andrew Green and instrumentalist James Oliver have produced a set of haunting, wistful tracks that truly have a dreamy, meditative vibe while the vocals by Rachael Kitchenside and Wendy Green float effortlessly across the gentle originals and chilled out hymns. Flute virtuoso Simeon Wood makes an appearance as well. All in all, a thoroughly proficient exercise which truly could help people find the living God in the billowingly wistful soundscapes.
