As he admits himself, Chip K has never been one for doing things by halves. And it's Chip's brand of radical "all or nothing" Christianity that makes sense in this age of vacuous believe-what-you-like spirituality. As this book spells out, Chip has got hold of the real deal where life becomes an exhilarating roller coaster ride of faith, miracles and supernaturally imparted peace and joy. Being a wrinkled slaphead, you might think I would find little of interest in the youthful observations of a rock culture evangelist. Instead, I found myself encouraged and energised by Chip's pointers to Maximum Life. Using a bunch of random stories from his life, the frontman for thebandwithnoname puts together 45 daily Bible readings. They are broken down into three sections: Chip K's Mind, usually an amusing reminiscence; God's Mind, usually containing two or three chunks from the Bible; and Your Mind, an opportunity to apply the things you've just been reading about. A powerful teaching aid, particularly for young disciples.
