Having toured extensively with Belfast's, Johnny Parks Band, Claire Hamilton has released this three track digital download of her own tunes. From a Queens University (Belfast) music graduate you might expect impeccable arrangements, lashings of orchestral strings and some prim and proper harmonies. Well, you've got the impeccable production and, admittedly, there are some strings lurking in the background but prim and proper you haven't got! The first track, "Breathe On Me", has a raw passion that is spine-tingling. From the opening, sparse piano the vocals slowly build to produce a powerful invocation to God. "Lend Me Your Heart, is a neat, almost sing-a-long track that again takes a simple song and turns it into a tune that wouldn't be out of place in a large arena. The final track, "We Will Look To The Cross", shows just how much her time with the Johnny Parks Band has influenced her music. The incessant guitar, driving bass and drums, combine to provide a great platform for Claire's vocals. On this offering it is little wonder that Claire has shared the stage with the likes of Robin Mark, Bluetree, Rend Collective Experiment and Brian Houston. To paraphrase Master Twist, "Please, Claire, can I listen to some more?"
