I'd listened to this CD a couple of times before I first had a close look at the inlay. A really good, rock album with an excellent and original inlay design (each track has it's own artwork, set out in an art gallery style). Which part of the States were they from I wondered. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that these guys hail from across a rather smaller pond, being based in Northern Ireland! The music and lead vocals have an attention holding raw edge, carrying thoughtful, Jesus centred lyrics which leave the listener in no doubt as to where the band are coming from. This is especially evident on tracks such as "Breath", "Not Alone" and "Hope." Distinct influences from dc Talk/Prayer Chain/Jars of Clay come through and if I had to be hyper-critical it would be to say that the similarity is a bit too strong on the odd track. However, I also have to say that whilst I am a big fan of Jars' work I enjoyed 'We Can See' even more and wonder what Clay could produce with a similar budget! This has to be one of the best independent albums by a British band I've heard for a long time.
