Here we have a six track debut cass from four young guys from York who will be playing in the Showcase Tent at this year's Cross Rhythms festival. If you get the chance go and see them for I think you won't be disappointed. For if this debut cass is anything to go by these guys have a big future. From the rocky opening track "Warriors" to the Genesis-type instrumental in "Communion" this tape has it all. It reminded me of early Split Level, very raw in its music. The boys have had very wide experience - Dave, the keyboard player, has played with Martyn Joseph and John Pantry. And they have all been involved with the One Voice Choir. I personally preferred the more ballad-orientated tracks, "Will To Win" and "Fight For Life". As Andy himself says, "We take our music and vision very seriously." I hope that part of their vision is to put some tracks down for a CD and hopefully be taken on for a record deal for the potential is there.
