Effectively, this is a mix tape put together by the skilful DJ Morphiziz, working with Todd Collins. The Beatmart label has been inviting new hip-hop talent to send demos via their website and this is the best stuff plus some work from those already signed to the label and a few famous friends like KJ-52, Manchild from Mars Ill and TobyMac. There's plenty of stuff here to like. Standouts to these ears are Rob Hodge's "Survive" and Japhia Life's "Love", both of which I've been playing on Rimmerama off the pre-release. The tracks from The Descendantz and Viktory are pretty special, especially the latter's "Extra Extra" and Bobby Bishop looks like an artist to look out for. This is a great place to discover new talent and the CD also includes a link to help you submit your demo so you're on next year's CD!
