Daniel Doss has led several congregations in the US since leaving high school. Now with his band he presents his first national release. The recording, produced by Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin) while Doss' vocals are sung in a style which sounds like a cross between MercyMe's Bart Millard and Steven Curtis Chapman. The Chapman similarity is particularly evident on the encouraging song "Hold On" with its memorable exhortation, "The winds will show no mercy for your face/But your heart is safe, secure inside my grace." "I Need You" has a great structure, ideal for worship services and if this album doesn't get swamped with similar sounding albums and artists this will encourage a fair few believers.
