This highly anticipated new live release from the enormously popular Australian worship leader and author comes with a major critical buzz and nothing about it disappoints. The recording serves up 12 tracks of the highest quality worship music, recorded live in Birmingham, Alabama. The overall feel of the collection is big, joyful, anthemic worship, albeit one delicately balanced with some more intimate tracks. With a fantastic quality of recording, Darlene, her band and the congregation are all heard clearly throughout. With guest appearances and co-written songs from Michael W Smith, Kari Jobe and producer Israel Houghton, these tracks reflect completely on Jesus and our response to him. It's all but impossible to pick a highlight, although the epic 10-minute long "In Jesus' Name" is a real contender. This powerful song centres around a moment of prophetic prayer for healing from Darlene halfway through. Along with a digital booklet and a year-long devotional book, 'Revealing Jesus' is more than just an album and certainly achieves it aim in being a "worship experience".
