This is a complete gem from start to finish. Evans has constructed a worship experience with an acoustic flavour and an all-pervading JOY! Songs like "New Song Arisin" and "My God Reigns" are leaping with life! Darrell's guitar and husky voice lead everything off as he presents his songs that are designed to lead us into what God is doing. "We Will Embrace Your Move" probably sums it up best as a spiritual experience as he reflects, "His Spirit is tearing down walls built on the pride of men." If like me you're longing for God to do more and you're passionate about becoming more intimate with him, then this album is the album that will encourage you to get there! It's not all clap'n'dance, calming songs like "Refuge" and "I Surrender" are just sweet moments of beautiful worship - an oasis to catch your breath! I was already familiar with the "Kingdom Song" because our worship group had a bash at it recently (literally!) but, like all the songs here, Darrell's acoustic interpretation strips it down to its simplest form and the words speak out powerfully! Stirring and joyful with the musical chops to carry it, this deserves to be recognised as one of the great worship albums of the year!
