This Atlanta-based singer/songwriter has worked hard to establish a local following and has teamed up with former NewSong member Scott Wilbanks to record this three track single. It kicks into place with the upbeat inspiring title cut designed to get you out of your apathetic seat and into a radical life for Christ. "Open Up Your Heart" is perfect slick American CCM, every bit as good as anything you'd hear on a Nashville label and finally the worshipful "Glorify Your Name" sees David turn his hand to praise music. The songs are worshipful so I am left wondering where the heart of his ministry lies. Great voice, cool strong songs but after a few listens I am still not clear of his ministry identity unless he classes himself as one of this new breed of American worship "artists". Covering all bases perhaps? Whatever, this is good solid stuff.
