Worldwide, Eden's Bridge are the biggest selling Celtic act though there are some musicians I've talked to who would argue that their watered down Celtic style, (faux Celtic anyone?) doesn't really deserve to qualify. Backed by the mightly American dollar, Eden's Bridge seem to have plugged into a niche market and in the past they've taken some popular songs, thrown in a few Celtic sounding instrumentation and a Maire Brennan soundalike and voila! Huge success. This new release takes a pile of lullabies and in true Eden's Bridge fashion Celticizes them! So that famous Brahms tune that has provided a soundtrack to so many baby product adverts on TV now has that ethereal vocal style added to it. The likes of "Coventry Carol", "Sing Lullabye" and "Whence Is That Godly Fragrance" become "Celtic" by the addition of a whistle, a bit of gentle piano or a plucked guitar hence fulfilling the theme of the album's title.

I bought this cd when I was at University, not sleeping and stressed with the pressure of assignment deadlines. This cd is not just for little people - I had the most amazing night's sleep with it. I then passed it on to my sister. I love this cd - it sings blessings in to your life and into your little ones lives as they sleep.
I even used the track 'presence and protection' during the commital service of my son who died - it said everything I wanted to say at a time when I couldn't. This is a lovely gift for a new baby or just for yourself!
