Having heard the previously released house/dance EP, I was expecting more of the same from Edmund R Griffin but instead, here's something that's not a new idea! Based in New Jersey, Edmund Griffin pastors a church there and to aid the building fund he's recorded 10 groovy versions of your standard traditional hymns and demonstrated his fine keyboard skills. The production is very basic and arrangements not very creative and the idea a little old. Undoubtedly a fine player, these instrumental versions are fun but ultimately not a lot more than wallpaper music. Nice wallpaper but wallpaper all the same. Talking of wallpaper, I hope he gets the building work done though.
