Now then, when I say metal, I mean the death metal, thrash sort of metal. You know the deal? Thumping drum and bass lines that make your room shudder and your neighbour's ornaments fall from their shelf when you play the CD at the "proper" volume. The kind of music where you're convinced that the shout­ing indulged by vocalist Darren Reid must surely mean that his throat bleeds after every gig. Anyway, you gel the picture don't you? If you want a sheer wall of noise punctuated by quieter grungier moments (the closing "Twelve Fourteen" with its vibey violin is one such moment), try this. Elsewhere, this is unrelentingly intense from the opening "As The Sky Fools" through the equally impacting "Love Falls Deaf (not hard when you encounter the loudness cap­tured here!) and sheer aggression of "Survive" or "Vice". Not one for the faint­hearted but if you like your rock'n'roll totally out there, send your cheque Ozwards and enjoy the ride!
