We Brits are particularly apprehensive about album sleeves that sport American flags and knowing full well that there's a section of the US Church who embarrassingly confuse unbridled patriotism with godliness. And sure enough, this album is chock-a-block with songs with titles like "The Hands That Move America", "Fallen Heroes" and "New Spirit For Old Glory". Eric has an excellent voice and at least the arrangements are free of the saccharine excess that the Gaither's would have heaped on them, but this is still a hugely misguided album of country-tinged MOR for hardcore Republicans.
