"No Shadows" is the Kickstarter funded debut album from this Portland, Oregon-based worship leader and focuses on the light of Jesus filling lives so much that there are no shadows. The worship heart comes through strongly though this is no congregational worship album with plenty of hooks, interesting guitar licks and good use of harmony. Stylistically 'No Shadows' would fit with Shane & Shane, Jeremy Riddle or Paul Baloche, being predominantly pop with strong guitar and keyboard lines pushing the songs along, particularly the standout track "The Only Way". There are also the occasional hints of country, the excellent "This Is Our God" featuring Gabrielle Marita, and folk on the oddball track "The Bride". The excellent vocals and guitars are held back by the rest of the instrumentation sounding a little thin on occasion, most likely to keep within the undoubtedly small budget. If this is the starting point, Eric is definitely someone to keep your ears open for.
