Of course, if you already own the original release of this classic album then you have to be asking the big question - "is it worth me picking up the diamond edition as well?" The simple answer is "no". The less simple answer is "maybe". The three extra songs are as good as anything else on the album and are by no means filler tracks - "I Love You To Death" is a funny and outrageous metal love song to (I assume) Jesus, and is so funky it deserves to be played and remixed in clubs around the globe. "Face Down" catches FFF in one of their more serious moments - "Fall down with my face down/Giving up me, myself../If you see me standing up again/Just knock me back down so I can live/Where I first fell for you/No more depending on myself." Third new track "Never Let Me Go" is more disco scream punk guaranteed to cause chaos in the mosh pits. Put these three new tracks on top of an already classic album and this is near indispensable. Did I mention the lyrics sheet opens up into a wonderfully tongue in cheek poster, and the skull and diamond cover art is a vast improvement on the original cover, for what it's worth. Who knows where FFF will be in a few years time, but for now they are one of the most dynamic, original rock bands out there. PS: If you're still not sure whether or not to part with your cash, the three new tracks are also available separately on a 'Diamond' EP, available in the States.
