'He Cares' is the debut gospel album of Fiona, and a very good debut it is too. A former member of Jamaican girl group World Of Girls, Fiona is ranked with the likes of Chevill Franklin, Judy Mowatt and Carlene Davis - after listening to this album, I understand why. This album has a mixture of traditional and original songs, and that's not to say the other tracks are not as good. Every time I listen to the CD, I go straight to "Oh, How I Love Jesus" or "He Touched Me" - two excellent cover versions of these classic hymns. Personally, I don't think I have heard any better versions. This album comes under the reggae category, but there are a couple of nice soul ballads as well. So if you like soul and reggae gospel, let me recommend 'He Cares' by Fiona, it is an excellent album. I actually went out and bought myself a copy and I don't regret it - it was £14 well spent.
