An album which sold BIG in Britain's Christian bookshop ever since its release in 1986 (and is still in catalogue!) finally gets a follow-up! 'We See A New Africa' was pioneering stuff, not only was it the first time the western church had given much thought into the music of South African townships it was, thanks to some pretty funky Fairlight programming, a decidedly comtempary album. This one plays down the rhythm, plays up thoughs rich township harmonies. On a purely personal level some elements of Graham Kendrick's stylings (this is tied in with the Global March For Jesus) stop the full spine-tingling effect of South Africa praise coming through. And I definatly don't care for the mix. But many will be blessed, challenged, inspired and envisioned through this album.
