Another 'first' from the ambassador of country music. Whilst scores of artists have recorded Christmas albums, to my best knowledge I never heard of an Easter album before! Actually, it's very much in the style of George's Christmas tape, meditations, Bible readings, and plenty of good music. George previously recorded Hank Williams "How Can You Refuse Him Now" for ABC Records in 1958. "Trouble In The Amen Corner" is a humorous recitation. "Less Of Me" is a Glen Campbell song that George recorded for RCA. "He Is Risen" is a great new song by top Nashville composer Paul Overstreet. After over 30 years in the music business George has lately come up with some outstanding albums, and this is also very good indeed.

My Dad used to play Easter in the country Album (audio cassette ) when I was a kid with songs like he is risen, how can you refuse him now, let your love flow through me etc. But as I grew I have search these songs for years not getting it even on the internet. So sad George died before some of his stuffs appeared online and still without the songs I have mentioned. I still need those songs, on the cassette he was wearing suit and standing under a tree I still remember after 30 years . May his soul rest in peace
