A popular pianist on numerous country and Southern gospel projects, this vocal album shows Gordon has more to his musical armoury and has proven to be a major Christian music hit Stateside. This album concentrates very much on his vocal skills and comprises of 13 exceptionally good modern gospel songs, the only one with which I was familiar being "Get Up In Jesus' Name", which I had heard previously from country gospel's Marty Raybon. Southern gospel's The Isaacs join in on "I Know Somebody Who Does" and big star Alison Krauss adds gentle vocals to the very fine "Maplewood Methodist Church" which is a fantastic song, full of truth and meaning. The Gaither Vocal Band add substance to the aforementioned "Get Up In Jesus' Name". "Ain't Going To Give Up On God" and "My Redeemer Is Faithful And True" are both outstanding, but if I had to pick a favourite it would be the title track from an album that is a quality item.
