This is Greg's first release, a five track EP in a familiar Soul Survivor contemporary worship style. The fact that he is worship leader from an Anglican church, walking distance from Chorleywood and the home of Soul Survivor at Watford, shows the influence. If Greg was to appear on next year's Soul Survivor album it wouldn't be a surprise as the songwriting is on-par with Tim Hughes et al. All the tracks here are suitable for contemporary congregational worship and have been proved in church over the last year. "You Reign" contains classic praise lyrics such as "The cross speaks of your love, your death brings us new life" whilst "Forever Faithful God" has "You are the rock on which we stand. . . we once were lost but now we are found". Credit goes to Verra Cruz's Marc James for the crisp production - of a much higher standard than the majority of independent releases. The irony of the EP is that the opening lyrics, "His voice thunders" is sung with under-powered vocals that are only boosted in the chorus with backing. Greg's wife Sarah joins him on backing vocals and, on the evidence here, has the potential to come to the fore.

Well, what can I say? Watch out for more from this up and coming artist in the future! Get this CD and you'll be singing along in no time - personal favourite? Probably "You Reign", but I change my mind every time I listen! God bless you Greg :-)
