A strong point of country music ever since its recorded inception has been the family unit, and this certainly fills the bill, as the group comprises Greg Hill, wife Debbie, sons David and Jacob and daughter Charity. However, these guys hail from California, not Carolina, and have (one can almost hear the purists gasp) punk rock connections. This is their only album and stems from 2013. Nine original tracks seems a bit short but with meaningful lyrics on such tracks as "Faithfully" and "God With Us", there is no doubting the genuineness of where they are coming from. The problem is that for me Greg's vocals are a bit harsh and shouty and the electric guitars and drums sound too monotonous at times. Quite likely they are an act that you might enjoy at a live gig. But in truth there are a lot better country rock albums around.
