Many albums of this type, largely worship-orientated songs financed by local churches and with accompaniments supplied by the church's worship band are high on faith and initiative but low on musical values. But Gwen has a pleasing if occasionally shrill voice which she uses effectively on the stirring worship anthems and sensitively on the gentler ballads. It's the latter particularly the lovely "You Alone Are Holy" which caught my ear. I could have done without a dreary cover version of "El Shaddai" (never, never revive a well known classic is a rule every beginner must learn) but all in all this is thoroughly acceptable easy-listening worship and I expect to see the sister's ministry expand as a result of this release.
