I approached this review with apprehension. You see, these five young newcomers from Kansas in the US of A sing acapella. Nothing wrong with that, I hear you cry. And there's certainly no doubt the unaccompanied voice can be quite invigorating, even soul stirring. But, I'm afraid Heart's Journey never quite reach that level of harmonic excellence that can easily send shivers rushing down the old musical and spiritual spine. Some tracks carry instrumental support, but these seem ponderous and passionless. Add this to the supporting promotional blurb that speaks of young men "who strive to connect with audiences of all ages." And, "regardless of the stage, whether it's at the church or at the fairgrounds, Heart's Journey energizes any crowd with their intricate vocals and unique harmony." The truth is, fellas, that's quite a burden to carry and I cannot see a British audience rushing out to purchase an expensive CD, or queuing around the block to blow their well earned cash on front row seats. Lads, I'm sure your hearts are sincere. So, keep playing the church halls and fairgrounds until you reach that CD quality.

Mr. Cox seems to have a tin ear. Heart's Journey is without a doubt the best acapella singing group to grace the the present era. The only other group that can possibly do as good or better than Heart's Journey is Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Possibly Mr. Cox thinks that Ladysmith Black Mambazo is also of mediocre talent.

I just wanted to comment on Heart's Journey. I have followed them since there album "On The Horizon." They are truely an inspirational blessing. I have had the honor of meeting them personally and they really have an amazing message for people of all ages. I met them when I was 15 and I am 29 now. Mike, Steve, Rodney, Nate, and Aaron are exceptional testimonials of what God can do. God Bless them.
