Down the years Heather has released numerous worship projects as well as being a dancer, choreographer, painter and writer. She also has her own professional dance company - a busy lady! This is Heather's first release under the Jesus Culture umbrella and shows a free ranging style similar to Rita Springer with a blend of both live and studio tracks with the aim of drawing the listener to worship. The live opener "Come In" states the intention of "giving myself in total abandonment". The title track is a plea to be purified whilst "Undivided Focus" is a statement of "surrender to the Holy Spirit". My favourite on the album is "Kisses Of His Mouth" from Song Of Songs, which begins with a simple piano backing from Jeffrey Kunde and subtly builds as the song progresses. The pace steps up on "Shadow Of Your Wings" and the live "I'm Still Thirsty" and the album finishes with an outstanding live version of hymn evergreen "How Great Thou Art" given a 21st century makeover and even shows something of a Coldplay feel three and a half minutes into the track!

Product Description
Overcome is the first album from established singer-songwriter Heather Clark since joining Jesus Culture. Her music mixes styles from corporate worship to folk rock/pop, wrapped around her distinctive, powerful voice. Written through a time of personal struggle, it reflects Christ’s truth, faith and hope.

Heather travels internationally singing, leading worship and speaking, whilst calling people into a greater place of wholeness, healing and freedom in their lives and in their relationship with God. Her music reflects the seasons that she has worked through, a journey of music, dance, theatre and other visual arts.
